My current guess is Q4 2014, so very soon compared to how long it's been.

I doubt it will ever come out.

I'm with Sven in guessing a late 2014 release. We know the game is still in development. It's looking like it is now a PS4 game and Sony has yet to announce all of their 2014 titles. It was stated by Sony that Japan Studio wanted to finish some of their other projects before they moved a lot of personnel to The Last Guardian. Rain is done, Puppeteer is done, and both Knack and Destiny of Spirits will be releasing soon. I am willing to bet most of those involved with those games will be sent to try and crank up the development speed. It's not like the game hasn't been worked on this entire time so I think it's likely that a significant portion of the game is already finished.

The Last Guardian isn't really worth thinking about right now. It might even end up being like DNF and others as in taking forever to make the damn game to the point that when it does eventually release it would either be too dated, no one would really care by that point or just too late. Lack of hype/attention could be another reason. Ask anyone what game they are expecting to play within the next 3 years and I guarantee you The Last Guardian would be in the EXTREME minority.

I was interested in the game too back when it was announced, but it's been 5 years and they are still working on it. There's a good chance that it could release on the PS4 and if that were to happen, it would probably take even longer to finish.

I've lost interest in the game. Watchdogs/KH3, etc. are other examples of games that are taking way too long to release. Only difference between those games and TLG is that I really don't see TLG releasing at all. I really don't.

Recent statements make it seem pretty certain that the reason we haven't heard anything is because it's coming to PS4. Once they made that decision they needed to be quiet about it for a while while they re-worked the game. I'm sure we'll hear something by E3.

Relax..it's coming..it's gonna be PS4 exclusive. No rush really..let it come out when it's ready. It's definitely not canned
