So basically the article is saying once kinect sports rivals hits Microsoft will own the families. So families should wait 6 months is what the article is basically saying.

That's funny, I showed my two boys Knack and they thought it looked boring. Of course, they'd probably say the same for Kinect Sports Rivals. They will love the shit out of Peggle 2 and Project Spark though, can't wait to see what they come up with on that one.

Yep, that's basically what it's saying. Even though nowhere in the article does it say or imply that at all.

Excellent deductive skills.

Knack is pretty much the only family game at release of both consoles. Well, families can also play Forza or something like that but that's not really a family game. But this holiday isn't really for families, it's more for tech enthusiasts and the hardcore fans. Even if they have some kids they will probably not decide for one console because of one family game.

The PS4 would sell the same amount this holiday season if they would have another not so family friendly game instead of Knack so that it doesn't really change much. Interesting will be holiday 2014 or 2015.

Zoo Tycoon, Peggle 2, Max Brotherhood and Lococyle are all pretty kid friendly though.

You could very well consider them kid friendly, but Max: The Curse of Brotherhood isn't out until 2014 I believe?

The early buyers are clearly the hardcores. Regarding kid friendly exclusives PS4 only has Knack, PlayRoom, Escape Plan and indies at launch . Both the systems got Skylanders Swap Force, Just Dance 2014, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and Minecraft at launch though.

So the entire 2nd half of the article doesnt exist?

Where it says when Kinect Sports Rivals releases everything will change? Do I miss the part where he is praising Kinect Sports? The article clearly says, at launch Knack is the only real familyish game at all. Which gives Sony a tiny launch incentive for families. Then he clearly says but when Kinect Sport Rivals releases itxs game over.

Swear we read 2 different articles.

People who are dismissing Knack are making a huge mistake in judgment. It looks like a very family friendly title (which is why I am getting it for myself and my kids) and will help parents decide on the already cheaper PS4 over the other consoles come the holidays.

It won't do well amongst the early adopters but for the holiday shoppers it will have a palpable impact.

Knack is getting a strong day one felling one me.

Everything will change =/= Microsoft will own the families. All that means is Sony won't be the only one with family friendly games. He also never says anything about Kinect Sports Rivals being game over, especially considering all the indies on PS4 he pointed out. You're very obviously drawing conclusions that aren't there to suit your agenda, and everyone here knows it.

It's not so much the case that we read different articles as it is that you just didn't read the article at all. You saw what you wanted to see and ignored reality.

Thats some twisting right there.

Prediction = Knack LT Sales will be 700,000 without bundling.

Kinect Sports Rivals = 10 million + without bundling.
