It's finally arrived

For realsies

In October 2011 we heard that Hulu Plus was coming to the 3DS, and then we heard that it was still in the works in January 2012; then we probably wrote it off as the months drifted by. It may have been two years in the making, but Nintendo has now announced that a new Hulu Plus app will be available to download from the 3DS eShop today. And so the saga ends.

As expected, the TV streaming service will work right away on the portable for any existing subscribers; simply log in and you should be good to go. There'll be a one week free trial for new subscribers, and Nintendo is plugging the various children's options in its official press release.

Users who have a wireless broadband Internet connection can visit the Nintendo eShop to download Hulu Plus. The application will allow users to navigate using the touch screen and view thousands of television shows and movies on the go. It also brings some of the best TV shows for children – including a larger selection of Jim Henson Family titles than any other video subscription service – to the platform through the Hulu Kids hub.

Hulu Plus is yet another entertainment option on Nintendo 3DS. In addition to multiple video services like Nintendo Video and social-sharing applications like StreetPass Mii Plaza and Swapnote, users can play the entire library of more than 2,000 Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS games. Nintendo 3DS also features an extensive selection of downloadable software in the Nintendo eShop, including games, videos and applications.

Aww.. nobody cares. You should have waited until everybody's boners dwindle down after Japan's Media Create, & Pre-Order Charts, PS3's adjustments, and 14Day-63k For Vita, you might have received more hits.

Puff puff pass, cuz.

Why does hulu even bother when Netflix came first, first come first served

we need 3DS YouTube.

I'd have to disagree there. As nice as it would be, I doubt it will ever happen, mostly because of how the Wii youtube site was awful.

I really don't mind though, I play the 3ds for games, not for funny internet videos of cats flushing toilets

Hulu+ would be better if they struck a deal with AMC.  However, AMC would probably want too much to carry shows like The Walking Dead.  With Netflix you have to wait about a year or so to get the episodes.  Hulu+ delivers the episode usually the day after it airs.  I mainly use Hulu+ for The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, and Parks and Recreation.  Used it to keep up on The Office (which is now done) and a few other shows.  Not sure if they are carrying the new season of South Park though (edit- just checked and it appears that they finally put the first episode of the new season up).  I struggle to keep the service sometimes (espeically when Daily Show and Colbert Report are on breaks along with the playback errors which used to happen a lot on the Wii U).  I wish they would just get rid of the shitty movie section for Hulu+ and invest in some decent TV shows.  Their exclusive series Quickdraw is actually pretty decent.
