The game never froze!

It just dropped to less than 1 frame per second.

Game probably not final but (when you talk about hardware) PS4 is final having a non final PS4 as demo units or shipped to journalists this close to release would be dumb.

If you talk about software/firmware then you are right probably pre-release firmware



btw:  LOL at those youtube experts saying:
"game slowmo but UI normal = shitty game. 100% not console fault"   Yeah right.... Totally impossible to have defective hardware that just f*cks around when its under stress......   Well I can have a game stuttering or graphical artifacts or crashes or all of that combined within a game and my Windows/Linux etc would still work fine because thats what defective hardware does. It shows its flaws/defects when under stress and the more stress the more likely it shows.

Its not the same but when you alt-tab out of a game in windows it still is running (compared to the pause in the PS4) and even tho the PC game is still running (you can hear sounds or get killed etc) all temps go down because the GPU has almost nothing to do when you dont "see" the game etc.  And inside a PS4 the CPU and GPU share the same copper that cools them so if the GPU gets "idle" then the CPU automatically gets cooler. And because stuttering mostly appears when components get to hot and automatically downclock to avoid death this is pretty much a console problem (be it firmware or hardware. PS4 and Xb1 can downlock to reduce heat)

Well they are sensing heat, and they also say they are using a prototype version of the ps4.

so I dont think it will be a Issue there.
