idk... maybe they should let DMC rest a bit and bring back Onimusha, that game series was so damn fun.

Hope he doesnt reply either. It would be a problem. |
LOL! I doubt he will reply to any of us. The main thing is getting our voices heard by tweeting him.

I didn't know this!! Thanks. Although, that's kinda sad. What happened to the teams that made the first three RE games? Are they all gone too? No wonder Capcom slid so far. All their talent left. |
Sorry, but I'm not sure about the situation of RE at Capcom. I know RE4 and RE5 were made by mostly the same team. However, RE6 was made by the team that made RE Outbreak.

Kamiya is not directing Bayonetta 2. His last project was The Wonderful 101, which was released in September. It's unknown what his next project will be, but he seems eager to make DMC5.
What it seems some people are asking is not DMC5. its DMC2, or what DMC2 should have been.
For DMC3 to exist Capcom had to rebuke the graphic novels set before DMC1 and DMC1 itself, because DMC3 was a type of reboot for the series.
Koboyashi might be the wrong person to contact if you want a continuation of DMC2; since Koboyashi was the producer for DMC4. If you want DMC5 to continue with the story of Nero and Kyrie (I don't), he is the person to contact. Hideki Kamiya also dosen't see any of the DMC games as sequels to his original game, so I doubt he would create a game that continues DMC4.
This is the right thing to do though, which is to contact the relevant developers rather than sending death threats, which is what some people did.

Kamiya games are better. On that note. DMC1 the best. DMC2 isnt even DMC. DMC4 had a nice system. |
I admit I was a bit dissapointed that DmC didn't have Dodge Offset. Yet DmC does have an analogue to that, which is Combo Offset. This is new to the DMC series. Bayonetta on the other hand dosen't have Combo Offset. I don't think Ninja Theory should have Dodge Offset because DmC has its own unique evasion manouvers, it shoulnd't copy Bayonetta. Bayonetta has its own manouvers, so it shoulnd't have DmC's.
When you say DMC2 isn't even DMC, you need to realise none of the games are sequels to DMC1. Especially not DMC4 which is very far from the original game. True DMC4 had goof combat, yet Capcom needed to move that combat forward which is what they did with DmC. DMC4 was still using the button lock relic from the Resident Evil games. I appreciate some people like DMC4, but pretending the game is a sequel to DMC1 to dismiss DmC is deceptive.
DMC4 was the start of a new series with Nero and Kyrie as the new main characters. It was not a contination of DMC1.

Im the biggest DMC fan out there (not even joking when i say this...)and i loved DmC, it had flaws but it also introduced some amazing things. ie. Dante and Vergil (imo) seem to be relatable as characters rather then a 2 dinmetional anime character.
Dmc4 was a huge dissapointment making the dmc universe a joke and kamiya maybe a dick but i would support the hell out of this if he were to come back!

Actually, the DMC series has a non-linear narrative. The official timeline is DMC3 -> DMC1 -> DMC4 -> DMC2.
Therefore, taking this into account, there's a chance that Kamiya will set DMC5 directly after DMC1 and long before DMC4.

That could be interesting....maybe explain and improve Nero since he's such a terrible character or dont include him at all...(i wouldnt mind that!)
NOTE: i will support this thread since i want more DMC! Either it being made by capcom or Ninja theory.

I'd rather he didn't include Nero at all. If Kamiya does get given DMC5, I hope he makes it a DMC1 direct sequel and use the DMC1 incarnation of Dante. Also, Kamiya could make the story focus on providing more backstory for Sparda.

You underestimate the potential of a DMC5 would be from the original series creator and director of Bayonetta, the most critically acclaimed Action game of the current generation. |
Not quite, Metacritic/GameRankings
1st: GoW III - M = 92.71%. G = 92.63%. (93%)
2nd: GoW C - M = 90.86%. G = 90.62%. (91%)
3rd: Bayonetta (360) - M = 89.79%. G = 89.89%. (90%)
Also I think DmC is actually decent, much better than DMC 1-4 (haven't completed any of them but played enough to know I don't like them). I think Ninja Theory should have another chance, Kamiya should just work on other things.
