Damn. Despite Kamiya being an asshole on twitter sometimes, the guy has been earning my respects since I've been playing Platinum Games' Games. Now you come and tell me he was the original creator for DMC? WTF, this man is a genius!

He only directed DMC1, though. DMC2, DMC3, and DMC4 were all directed by Hideaki Itsuno, who is now focusing on the Dragon's Dogma series. Therefore, it would be really great if they got Kamiya to direct DMC5, the latest instalment in the series he originally created.

Not a fan of the series, but I know my brother will be pleased to hear this. He hated the DMC remake, like most DMC fans did.

Most fans hated the remake because it was different.  I'm one of them.  That is, until I actually played it.  I watched a friend play it through the full game and I've played through about half of it myself as I don't own it yet, but for the time I've spent with it, it could possibly be better than any Capcom developed DMC games.  As for the character models and story, after people stop letting bias about the original series get in the way and take it as a new take then they'll probably like the new Dante and Vergil just as much as the old ones.

Vergil's doesn't look as cool as he did on DMC3, but he's still just as badass.  If you're not going to play the game or don't mind a spoiler watch the ending.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXaz6XczZNI

I'd rather have a new DmC from Ninja Theory than a new DMC.

Similar to DmC reboot, I'm also a huge Castlevania fan.  I'm just as much a Castlevania fan as I am a Final Fantasy fan.  I hated Lords of Shadow before playing it because it went against the timeline that has already been set up prior to release.  Once I gave it a chance and took it as Lords of Shadow and not Castlevania, it's such a good game that it's my favorite this gen.  If I letmy bias about it not being Castlevania continue getting in the way, I would have missed out on such an amazing game.

They're all crappy characters and the combat doesnt have a dodge offset.

Kamiya games are better.

On that note. DMC1 the best. DMC2 isnt even DMC.  DMC4 had a nice system.

They better have a backup plan in case Deep Down and Dead Rising 3 fail miserably. They're sinking down, and they're not making profits. I dislike what Capcom has become, but I won't like them to disappear.

I figured Monster Hunter was thier ace in the hole so not too worried about them right now.

I just see trend with MegaMan, Onimusha and now Devil May Cry that if something is not white hot or new they tend to just go "meh" and leave it to rot.

I'm sure Kamiya will make Devil May Cry a successful series again. That's one of the reasons why they need to choose him to direct DMC5.

Devil May Cry had a lot of interesting story's to tell after shitzzy 4.What happend to Vergil in the underworld?Sparda?I would love to see Dmc: The legend of Sparda. Come on!
I have actually bought every Devil may cry book and I recommend the first one, it is actually great.Heck, I even watched anime (sucks) and have read manga...It is such interesting world that had such potential..
Thats why I hate DmC even tho I haven't played it.

Personally, if Kamiya gets to make DMC5, I hope he will set it shortly after DMC1 and provide more lore about the world and about Sparda.

Get the team that made the first one and make five. No more outsourcing.

Like a dream coming true if it happens. But he has to give it that gloomy feel the original Devil May Cry had.

Definitely. I want it to be set shortly after DMC1. I also want it to have the DMC1 version of Dante.

The team that made DMC1 are the same team that made Bayonetta. They're all now at Platinum Games. The only person that worked on DMC1 that's not at Platinum Games is the producer, Hiroyuki Kobayshi. He's still at Capcom and that's why Kamiya is telling us to tweet him.

I wonder if it would be possible if two types of DMC series can be made. The new ninja theory one and this one.

Would be awesome!

But between the two I would say DMC5!

Anyways tweeted but I hope he doesnt go apeshit like...was it Kamiya or someone else cant remember when they were asked about a bayonetta 1 PC port.

I wouldn't be opposed to having Ninja Theory make the DmC series, while Platinum Games make the DMC series. However, I doubt Capcom would finance both. That being the case, I easily choose DMC5 by Kamiya. I really want him to surpass Bayonetta with the game.

Also, who gives a fuck if Kobayashi goes apeshit? The main thing is getting our opinion heard like Kamiya requested.

Bumping so more people see this. Keep sending them tweets to Kobayashi, people!
