Forums - Gaming - Megaman help

After backing Mighty No 9, even though I have never played a megaman game ( I know I'm sorry) I want to try to get into megaman games.

So what are your recommendations?  I have pretty much every nintendo system, a ps2 and a Xbox 360.

If you want a beginner's mega man game you should start with Mega man 2 and if you like it (And find it too easy) then get the superior Mega man 3. If you like Mega man 3 then get mega man 4 and keep going until you don't like them anymore

Tag:I'm not bias towards Nintendo. You just think that way (Admin note - it's "biased".  Not "bias")
(killeryoshis note - Who put that there ?)
Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true. 2nd UPDATE: I have no Switch 2. I am now behind

Megaman 9 (Arguably the best megaman ever)

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

The bet in the series are Mega Man 2 (much better than 3), Mega Man 3, Mega Man X, X2, X3, Mega Man 9, Mega Man 10, Mega Man and Bass (GBA), and Mega Man Zero 2-3 (GBA/DS). Those would be good to start with. The Legends series is also very good, but nothing like Mighty No 9 will be.

if you have a Wii U or a 3DS, go to e-shop and be happy. But for me, the best is Mega Man X

Mega Man 3 is the best. Those who say Mega Man 2 is better don't know what they're talking about.  This is just an opinion, btw.

Megaman Zero is, IMO, the best subseries. Megaman X series is also awesome, and it gives some backstory to the MMZ games, so I'd recommend playing those games first. I personally can't play the first NES Megaman games because those are very, very hard, so, if I were you, I'd only play those after having some experience with the series.

I have both, the problem is that there are too many options lol

Mega Man 1-4 are on VC as well as Megaman X (X2 is coming eventually, cause Japan just got it)

Megaman X will be more first timer friendly
