No idea, but is it really broken? Did you try Nintendo's official lens cleaning kit?

Yeah ive got the lens cleaner it worked for awhile as it started doing it with Metroid other M, then when i bought xenoblade not long after the problem started again and gradually got worse, it doesnt work at all now on any game i put in, it makes a clicking noise that sounds like its skipping.

Hm, that sucks. Yeah sounds like you'll have to send it in for repairs... No idea how much that will set you back though, I've never done anything like that before.

Ive got a wiiu but want to keep my vc games on my wii, we still use the wii alot and want to get it back in action, ill take a look on the nintendo site, thanks guys

I think it was 60$ to get my Wii's whatever fixed. (I don't think it was the laser, I was told it was from something melting...?) That was without the 2/1/whatever year contract as well.
It shouldn't be too expensive.
