Depends if those numbers are pulling straight from the Media Create/Famitsu/Dengeki top 50. Once a game falls off their tracking then essentially it's counted as selling 0 copies, even though it'll have been selling ~1000+ per week for however long it was in the top 50. It won't go from 1000 / week to 0 / week, which is where VGC makes the difference by attempting to make algorithms for lower-level sales. But it looks like they overshot it here.









I'm just saying that the 300k has to be for Japan only (article assumes it's international), because 300k incl. digital doesn't leave much room for western sales.
