Forums - Gaming - European Trademark for 'Half Life 3' Was a Fake

No votes yet

It's a cycle that seems to repeat over and over: some new little tidbit of information about Half-Life 3 will come out, everyone will get excited, and then that information will turn out to be false or fake. Unfortunately, it looks like the cycle applies to the recent news that Valve had filed a trademark for Half-Life 3 in Europe.

That's the news coming out of Valve Time, who have updated their original story on the trademark filing to say that about a week later, all traces of the trademark have been removed from the internet.

Although this doesn't tie directly into the leaked employee listing that showed development in full swing on Half-Life 3, it does mean that if the team is working on the game, we probably won't see it for quite a while, still.
