Forums - Sony - PS4 Remote Play with PS Vita TV Will Be Limited to 720p Resolution

Shocked... Vita displaying game in 720p.

BTW the Vita screen is 960 × 544... any 1080i or 720p input will be downscalled like it already do today.

I don't think he is talking about it being on the Vita screen but through Vita TV onto TV... Hope that makes sense lol!

Have to see it hands on, but sounds fine to me.

lol that's makes sense

I was thinking why Sony is trying to stream 720p content when the hardware just shows 544p... waste of bandwidth.

Now for Vita TV makes sense... I expect the Remote Play with Vita works in 544p to decrease the lags over Internet.

It would be a waste indeed lol! I already own a Vita and love it but even I'm interested in getting Vita TV as the PS4 streaming capability is just awesome!!

I'm a bit confused. Is this talking about a PS4 streaming stuff to the Vita-TV system, which then displays it onto an actual tv? If yes, why? Instead of hooking the PS4 up to a tv directly..?

It is...

PS4 streaming to Vita TV to show on TV... I made confusion with Vita portable.

You can have your PS4 on bedroom and play the games in Vita TV at TV room.

It's smart, I'll leave it at that.

I take it you can actually switch games one way or another when you do this (or go to any other application for that matter)? For physical copies that's already impossible, but otherwise it's totally pointless, like watching a video-cassette in the bedroom while the VCR is downstairs.

Resolution has nothing to do with lags.
