Except for cars, it's mostly like GTA4. 

Cars are actually a mix between arcade style and the GTA4 style.  Anyone who disliked the driving on GTA4 I'm sure they'll like it on here.  I liked both.

I forgot to mention melee in the review.  It's mostly the same, but there's more weight to the characters punches.  You no longer have left punches and right punches, you just have punch, kick, and evade.  Unlike GTA4 though, the evade works perfect, it won't sometimes work, sometimes not work, so you can evade and counter repeatedly on this game.


My biggest complaint game wise about IV was the cars and how it sucked so much fun out of the experience.  V fixing much of that goes a long way to me eventually playing it.

I think it is a good game but it is definitely overrated. I don't see how people think every time new GTA comes out, it is the best thing ever. But it may be because it doesn't hold my interest after trying / completing everything. I don't have fun just running around shooting stuff. The driving is waaaaay better than 4. The hand to hand combat is also much more entertaining than 4. Golf is AWESOME. The actual content amount so far seems similar to 4. Off topic sidenote, this game is not as good as The Last of Us. I also would probably say San Andreas is better in certain ways.  GTA5 is cool though 8/10 maybe 8.5
