Forums - Nintendo Discussion - WiiU hardware sales seem to have gotten a pretty good boost with the price cut + WW HD bundle.

I was looking at the WW HD community this morning, and it is getting around 4posts per minute which is huge. I then checked the profile of the first 25 posts and most of them were brand new profiles who had just gotten their wiiU. I also checked the Nintendoland community and I was seeing a lot of brand new profiles posting on there too. Either way, we know windwaker HD sold tremendously on the eshop seeing at it is getting tons of player posts every minute and it has been only released on the eshop so far.

How much do you think the wiiU will sell on it's price cut week and release of WW HD.

Also, how much do you think WW HD has sold on the eshop so far?

My prediction is that the wiiU will sell 70k in America on it's price cut week and WW HD will have sold around 50-60k on the eshop.

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

The price cut is not going to have a meaningful impact. It was announced on the 28 of August yet no drop in sales occurred.

I think it might get simillar to the 3DS situation - Zelda Remake - medium boost, Mario 3D + Mari Kart = not a single console left in the stores.

Even though PS4/XBOne both have such a high hype I still belive that Wii U might sell well. Hey, renember how Vita had to crush 3DS?

sales were very very low to begin with, i dont think that formula is very meaningful joethebro. Lets just wait and see before killing it off

Actually Zelda did some of that itself.. I posted elsewhere.. that Amazon sales on The Wii U and all bundles rose by hundreds and thousands (In some cases ) and this is not only good for Nintendo.. sales on third party games.. have literally jumped up thousands of places... so yeah..you should start seeing a lot of new profiles all over the place.. Zelda, Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros/Luigi Bros. U and Pikmen 3 along with Wonderful 101 being the primary culprits going by Amazons top 100... the price cut will help it as well..

Predictions made by gamers concerning the current Nintendo line up of games.

Pikmen 3= Little Bump to nothing. (Got Little Bump)

Wind Waker HD= Won't sell anything (The explosion happened here and at one time 4 Wii U games was in the Amazon top 100)

Super Mario 3D World= Won't help at all looks cheap. (Currently the most sought after Wii U game and continuing the Wii U increase.)

vgchartz overtracks wiiU a lot of the time in NA, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually did have a big drop but vgchartz just largely overtracked it just like they did in August.

Will have to wait for NPD to see how it's doing (at least in the US)

But given it's not a significant price cut (some argue it's not even a price cut but a sku shift around) I can't see a massive bump.

You can count me among the new WiiU owners. Just picked up the Zelda WW Edition yesterday. Been waiting for a good time to finally take the plunge with the WiiU, and now seemed as good a time as any, with the special edition game pad, as well as the decent upcoming holiday lineup.

I don't think it'll be that big of a boost to be honest.

pictures a few pro Sony and Microsoft people looking at this.. and saying it has no meaningful impact to me.. because it's stable and possibly going the wrong way... LOL... It's supposed to be closer to the toilet so we can flush.... instead it's climbing hills ... Game Over Man.. Freaking Game Over.. we will never be able to flush now... and we filled the toilet with waste so it could go with it... Noooooo... ROFLMAO... Ohhh... I think I have had to much Sake..
