Forums - Gaming - UPDATED: Who has the best exclusives? According to metacritic it's...

ok but Trials HD is sick

Zack and Wiki is at number 11 on the Wii list? That game shouldn't have even made the top 35.

That's why I can't fully trust reviewers.  Or a compilation of reviews.

Tales of Vesperia is not 360 Exclusive it's on PS3. You may only be able to play it in Japanese, but because PS3 is region free anyone can purchase it and play it anywhere in the world.

I think the list should be more purist. It should only be games that can only be played on one device. No PC games, no Vita cross buy games, no DS/3DS games, no HD upgrades from former generations.

These exclusive lists showcase why it's important to consider buying a given platform. A game that's on PC and console does not showcase why I should think about buying the console.

As I said before, you have to take that into consideration. That's why the title is "best home console retail", and not "exclusive" as such. A lot of games would gone missing from the list if we take the way.

And that's what I think *should* happen with these kinds of lists. For the Xbox 360, for instance, I want to see what games might convince me to buy one so exclusive comparisons like this one would be great if they were true exclusives lists and didn't include the PC360 games. A few years back I Alan Wake was a game that I thought might be worth picking up a 360 for. But now it's on PC it's no longer a caonsideration for a 360 for me.

Are you not including kinect/move games? Because all the dance central games scored well in the 80+ range.

No, they involve buying an extra piece of hardware so i decided to exclude them. I might make a separate list for them later if i have the time :)

i dont want to be a stick in the mud cause you clearly worked on this, but if this is the case why have Skyward Sword, Red Steel 2 and Sports Resort on the list, they all require add ons to even work. Why not remove them?

I think those blur the line because: 1. Wii Motion+ is far cheaper than kinect and 2. later Wiis came with Motion+-Wiimotes

...but you could exclude them of course

i disagree, doesnt matter what it cost an add on is an addon, plus they didnt start packaging it till LONG after Red Steel 2 and Sports resort came out.

Why top 35 and not like... Top 20?

Can't help but feel the list is a bit skewed because MLB the Show is a yearly franchise, and other baseball games completely suck ass.

I agree with you. But I also think that consoles/handhelds games should be also out of the list. Exclusive means one single platform. Blue Dragon, for example, had a release on DS. It isn't exclusive in my book.

thats not really a good example, because they are two different games in the same series. That would be like taking NSMBWii off the list cause of NSMB for DS

Oh, really? Well, I thought the game was exactly the same one!

lol. no  that would be impossible considering the DS' hardware versus 360s. But i see your point. I think you mean something like Modnation Racers. There is a PSP version and they are the same game, just runs, looks worst on PSP and has none of the add ons and much more limited creator tools

Well, yeah. However, if the counterpart version is just a disaster, I think we can ignore it and make the console version exclusive. Urgh, it's not an easy term.
