Haha. I find this amusing simply because yesterday I was discussing with the_dengle how 2013 marked the first time we've seen a multi-plat MonHun release (Frontier PS3U) was a good sign. And then the next day the exact same game gets announced for Vita too.

Won't do anything for the platform and I suspect it'll perform horribly in sales too. I don't know why Capcom are pushing this game on any platform.

Still, it is what it is I suppose. And what it appears to be is "barely better than nothing, but possibly a glimmer of hope for the future".

Being on a handheld will definitely give the entry a new lease of life. I think it will see well.

If it was F2P with an option to "buy" the release (i.e. PSO2), then maybe.

I don't think any P2P MMO's have a space in the market anymore, though, except the ones that target a niche (i.e. EVE Online).  Even WoW is vastly losing ground.

Combining this with Vita's situation in Japan, I just can't see this working.

The only people I can see it appealing to are the hardcore who already play it on PC who want to take a version on the go with them.

It will require a constant Internet connection like all MMOs....I don´t think it will do much...or anything

Does this game have a subscription fee?

I guess it's safe to say that it already flopped.

It will be interesting to see which version will bomb harder: the WiiU  or the PS Vita version ...

Just how bitter are you?

I'm just happy people (including me) will be able to experience MH on Vita, I was not expecting any Vita MH to turn things around in the portable market. And even 300K will be very helpful for Vita. By the way, I have seen negative comments about MH4 on Amazon : neraly every review (even the favorable ones) say that the graphics are ugly and the controls fishy.

Console warriors like you love to complain on Amazon when it comes to franchises that were once on Sony´s systems, it was the same deal with Dragon Quest IX

There were some very valid complaints against DQ9. Fans of the series had pretty much every reason to be angry and dislike it.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

So an MMO that is already on PC/360 and coming to PS3/WiiU/PSVita and may or may not leave Japan. Reminds me a lot of DQX and while I enjoy both series I will not be picking either this or DQX up.

Hoping for a WiiU/3DS launch of MH4 in NA like they did for MH3U or at least an NA localization of just the 3DS version though.
