If you where looking to get a xbox 360, The 4 GB Xbox 360 is currently on sale for $179 @ Wal-mart. I think we will see better pricing towards christmas but if you want it now, this is the way to go.

They need to drop this to at least $ 150 permanently. I think they can bring it down to $129. permanently and still make a profit.

Agreed, no more than $129.  Only way to get any market/Mind share.  Or, offer to give them a coupon that gives them $100 of the future puchase of the XB1 betweeen june of 2014 and June of 2015.

i have this system. it won't work 'as is' with gtav :(

MS are going to have to give the 360 a big price cut at some point if they don't want it to run out of steam (heh) early. They have been barley supporting it for years now (in terms of major exclusives), so a price cut in the next year or so will probably be necessary.

Add in the next gen being on our door stop and both the PS3 and 360 are going to need to come down. They cost too much compared to their successors.

Edit: Just realized this comes off as a bit flamebaity, which wasn't my intention at all - was just giving reasons why i think both need price cuts sooner rather than later.

We had a better deal last week in Canada. Walmart and Futureshop had the 250GB model at $199.99. I went in to get one but naturally it was sold out.

I completely agree. I understand they needed to push the next console hard but atleast give it a nice price break.
