Forums - PC Discussion - External HDD

One of my external HDDs has stopped working and I'm looking to replace it. I have seen this and would like to know; can access it over ethernet and USB at the same time? My reasoning for this is to have ethernet access to the PC and have the USB plugged into the back of my 360, so it becomes a removable drive and allows me to access my music and what ever without using pendrives/DVDs or relying on my PC being turned on to stream from.

Around the Network

Judging by the manual, which can be found here: http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=10953, yes it will work. Under the section about safe disconnection it mentions turning off the ethernet connectivity first, removing the ethernet cable, and then removing the usb cable.

That's not undeniable proof, but it seems like it's possible. Your best bet would probably be to shoot an e-mail to their support, https://www.lacie.com/mystuff/login.htm?rtn=newticket, and ask them.

No, this is a Lacie drive, not a Western Digital Worldbook, which had the restriction to which you were referring.
