Now that the PS4 has a release date and the PS Vita TV has been announced, things are really starting to get heated in Japan.

The local branch of Amazon ranks the items that are added to users’ wishlists the most, creating a nice list of the most desired products. The chart for the gaming category sees the PS4 triumph over all kinds of competition, including Monster Hunter 4 that is expected to take Japan by storm when it’ll be released tomorrow.

The PS Vita TV is also highly sought, as it’s currently ranked 4th in its standard package, and 6th with the Value Pack including a DualShock 3 and a memory card. Pokémon X and Y is only ranked 5th, standing between the two PS Vita TV options.

Apparently the new PCH-2000 PS Vita models aren’t considered as desirable. The most popular color is (who is surprised?) black, ranked only 29th.

Does anybody know if all PSP games are compatible with VT-TV ?

If yes, I'll try to import a VT-TV from Japan.

I have heard rumors that yes they are.  I think VitaTV looks cool.  I already have a Vita but I would buy this if it came stateside.  It's only 100 bucks and I could see them implementing nifty cloud support to it.

I wouldn't know why it wouldn't be. lol no offence to the Vita's catalogue, but that's the main reason i want to buy this thing. I will be importing one from Japan as well, seen as how cheap it is. The ability to play Final Fantasy 3, 4, 7's Crisis Core and Jeanne d'Arc on a TV set is reason enough for me :D

PSP games are the reason to own this little device for me too.

Not surprising. Everything shoots up to the top of Amazon in Japan. Just wait a couple days.

I remember when Wii U was the most desired item. Ah, the good old times day.

Of course not. But Japan has a lot of preorders early on then quieter after that.
