they arent reminding of a 180, they are trying to act like the whole DRM/always online fiasco never happend. lol

i guess that sounds better then the alternative..

The reality is it never actually happened. It was only on paper, nobody bought an xbox one and was hurt by DRM.

Thanx you for replying with actual substance, something we can talk about. :)

Ill agree to a point, but it hurt some, and wasnt just on paper.  it was in months of coding and effort that MS could have spent on other things.  MS is hurt.   But you can argue this has been good for xbox fans because now they are trying extra hard to make it up.

I am Torgo, I take care of the place while the master is away.

From what i gather from the reply's to DJEVOLVE is that this is about the thread title and not much about the ad. Am i right?

At least they got it out of their system long before it actually came close to touching the public, with the possible side-effect that they triggered Steam to implement their new sharing system. I'm still hoping that MS comes up with some sort of digital sharing and I think the reason they're holding off external drives atm is while they refactor the digital DRM to handle that.

It's good to show it if people since the main announcement just haven't taken note. Many news channels and websites might have covered the original announcement with a decent article, while other news articles following might not have had such prominence.

That said, I still can't believe it came to it, having to tell customers something that are as far as many would have understood are basics of the industry. "You can loan out games." "Great, something I did 20 years ago."

Althought, those in the know could you answer me 2 questions, the first thing about downloadable games on a different Xbox One, once downloaded and it's installed on someone's harddrive, how will it know it is you logging into the game unless it does a check?

Also, Xbox Home Gold, is it more expensive than normal Gold? The idea of a master account on a machine and then all having access to online gaming I thought was done last gen, when I found out it wasn't and each user had to pay I was astonished, making Gold into a master account system on a machine was a perfect idea but that reads like it hasn't happened.

Hmm, pie.

Microsoft really showed me what a bunch of hypocrites they actually are, if they actually cared for the gamers, they wouldn't have announced such bullshit policies in the first place, and the only reason why they didn't follow through with them, because they realized they were going to get there ass's kicked

I really hope microsoft never gains full control off the gaming industry, because i'm afraid off what it might become

Yes, I was just making a light hearted comment about the title not being exactly right.  I'm not sure where DJEVOLVE was reading that i thought MS should do differently.

Im just going to chalk it up to the pain meds making him confused in what i was trying to say lol

This is old.

Well at least they reversed their terrible policies. I applaud them for that but they should have never tried to do the DRM in the first place.

Starcraft DJ - never change.

A healthy industry that is capable of moving forward would be cool. I don't see it this gen (on consoles).

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
