I think things probably are going to be more about digital as time goes on. Although I prefer physical, I can live with that.

Mobile... meh. Also probably true, but not something I plan on getting on board with.

Connected... no thanks. I like it for certain things (i.e. I enjoyed the way SSX autologs your data; much like all NFS games post-Hot Pursuit), but I don't want these experiences to replace playing solo.

If future could be predicted, internet, mobile and Steam wouldn't exist. Because these weren't predictable.

It seems that every industry head admits that digital and online will be the dominant format in the near future and beyond. What's funny, is that when M$ says that and introduces the XB1, Shit hits the fan. The gaming community is always talking retro and how good things were back in the day. But when it comes to buying, they beg for next gen.

The simple solution is provide choice to the market and let it dictate the direction the market goes.  When you try to force things by removing choice, that is when th eproverbial excrement hits the fan.

Create a program that creates random words with random letters. Make it produce a billion words. And be amazed by the 15 real words it created.

Now think of the billion things people predicted the last 300 years. 99.99999% were false.

Yup. But that's not an achievment, just luck. No modern economist predicted wich caused a lot of problems, that's what I meant.
