I have a PS3, however, I'm getting the 360 version. Namely because I've lent my PS3 to someone in return for a 360 for a couple months, but also because it's the version which the reviewers are using, the version which will have the most people online, and likely the version which is used as the lead console in development.

you do realize they showed the PS3 version in the trailers right?

also with a game as big as GTA no need to worry about the number of people online

Chinatown Wars disagree with you

Wait for Digital Foundry comparison.

I would say to simply get Grand Theft Auto V for whichever console most of your friends will be playing it on, as I doubt there will be a huge difference between the two versions.

I have a quick question. Was it already stated by someone how much worse the 360 version will be performance wise?

I don't have a PS3 and won't buy one just for one game.

Then buy it for more than one game.  There is a large amount of amazing titles exclusivesly to the PS3.  The Yakuza series, Uncharted, Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, Dragon's Crown, and that's just naming a few.

I'm considering the € 200 model next year maybe. Depends on which NEW games Nintendo announces for 2014. But right now I have to spend enough money this year. Wind Waker HD + Ganondorf figure, Pokemon Y, A Link between Worlds, Sonic Lost World, Super Mario 3DW, DK:TF, Wii Party U, GTA 5, maybe Destiny (depends on how good the game is on the 360).

What's the difference between having 1m people playing online and 900 thousand?

Worried you might not have anyone to play with? >_>

You're forgetting that we in the PS Nation already have a gang going and everything, while you will be alone with all those millions

What, did I do it wrong? I thought this was sorta the go-to response for 360>PS3 with regards to multiplats.

As you may know, I am a member of said PSNation community and, more importantly, in this online faction. So I'm getting the PS3 version.

I apologize for the sarcasm loss in the internet.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

If you're looking to buy a ps3 and GTA 5..... Get the damn bundle. Also it's one disk on ps3 and 2 on 360.

I don't pay €300 for a PS3 in the year 2013 sorry.

You don't have to keep switching discs though:

“For Xbox 360, Grand Theft Auto V will ship on two discs; Disc 1 will be used for a one-time mandatory install and Disc 2 will be used to play the game,” explained Rockstar in a blog post. “After the install, players will be able to enjoy both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online without any need to switch discs.”

I think the bundle is a good deal. If you already have a 360 then go for it- you won't be disappointed, if not then I say the ps3 version is probably the way to go.
