Forums - Sony - Jack Tretton Outlines 3 Key Advantages Over Xbox One, PS4 Launch “Biggest in History”

I'm sorry but I don't believe Sony or MS when they talk about their console's power. Remember that Sony said ps2 would have toy story graphics? hahah and when they showed the Killzone 2 demo which they denied it was CG hahaha.

Remember when Kinect could scan objects that would be then copied to the game? remember the milo and kate demo?? hahaha

None can be trusted. I will let the games speak for themselves.

this killzone thing was overblown, and besides, the final product looked way better, than the first trailer. which i believe the only claimed was in engine.

but the toy stoy thing... yah... lol. not even close.

We won't all agree on who has the best(Sony)launch lineup, but I'm sure the advantage will go to Sony sales wise. Time will tell the story but for now we are all getting a great deal regardless the console.

In fact there's only one advantage, but this is a huge one: $100€.

He missed that the PS4 is also considerably smaller than the xbone and there is no external power brick on the PS4. Sony = Wizards.

That is SO wrong.

"Three key advantages, we’ve got the most powerful console on the market, $100 cheaper than our competition and, most importantly, the biggest most diverse exclusive lineup of any platform ever launched. And that’s what’s really going to drive the sales for us in the long term."

Got to agree.

"more powerful" is very subjective weather true or not. The game line up is very subjective as well. Alot of people feel XB1 has the better line up. That leaves price, which he's 100% right. But then again, what else is he supposed to say?

That gif has me cracking up. Thanks for posting!

That's a overstatement on Jack's behalf. He's talking as if there's absolutely no demand for Xbox One, and we know that can't be true. I'm wondering if he thinks just a million preorders is through the roof. I am also wondering how many preorders/ consoles can Sony have for the PS4 launch that is reasonable. I know we the people will decide if the PS4 launch is the biggest in history, not Jack Tretton saying so. Sony is throwing everthing including the kitchen sink for marketing the PS4. Fox News took away his credibility.

Eeenh. To be honest, I don't think Sony's lineup at launch is all that good. I'm okay with this because history shows they'll bring the goods long-term, but I only really see three big releases, two of which are wild cards. Killzone, Knack, and Drive Club, with only Killzone as an established, well respected franchise. Knack and Drive club could end up being absolutely terrible.

That said, I think the only 'sure thing' on Micrsoft's side is Forza. Each and every other exclusive launching with that system has a big asterisk over it that makes it unappealing. Ryse looks like it's style over substance. the Dead Rising games have a storied history of being terribly glitchy messes. Crimson Dragon could be good but supposedly is lacking in some respects. Killer Instinct is a Joke, especially given the lack of Rare's involvement and the character release plan.
