Forums - Sales Discussion - Wii sales in Japan last week

So 100k for the Wii in Japan, start of February is... bad?

And 340k / week (worldwide)... is that bad as well? It only comes to 1.5m for the month - wow what a disaster ;)

Remember that hardware sales were already elevated - thanks to WiiFit.

People that were expecting over 150k don't know Japan.

Can't boost supply constrainment, lol. :(

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Following the advice given to them by Sony in 2006, I believe that a lot of those that bought SSBB, don't have a Wii.

They bought the highly ranked game, brought it home and now just stare at the package. Knowing that they have it is good enough for them. After all, if you can buy hardware and not need any software to appreciate it, why can you buy software and not need the hardware to appreciate it?

Torturing the numbers.  Hear them scream.

Okay, maybe if 2 million copies of SSBB were shipped.  Most Japanese arn't gonna wait in line for a Wii now when they could had done it 3 months ago.
