Following on from the Xbox One release date announcement, Microsoft have confirmed this morning that the console will launch in New Zealand with a packed-in (digital) copy of FIFA 14 when it hits shop shelves on November 22nd.

"The offer will be available to New Zealanders who have pre ordered an Xbox Day One Edition," the announcement clarified, "as well as those who purchase a Day One edition of the console at launch."

“New Zealand is a nation full of sports fanatics so we’re delighted to offer Kiwis FIFA 14 as part of our Xbox One Day One Edition," Microsoft New Zealand's Xbox lead Steven Blackburn confirmed. "It’s our gift to our fans – a token of thanks for those who’ve pre-ordered or who make the effort to get up early on the day of launch and pick up their limited Day One Edition Xbox One console."

“New Zealand pre orders have been incredible, based on the numbers we’re seeing this far out from launch it’s shaping up to be the largest console launch we’ve ever seen for Xbox in New Zealand.”

FIFA 14 for Xbox One, as announced at Gamescom last month, includes an exclusive expansion to the game's Ultimate Team mode, allowing owners of the game on Microsoft's system to add Legends of the game to their ultimate team.

What about US? MS?

Kind of unfair to the US Xbox supporters, where's our game? lol

Football isn't that big in US. Maybe have a free NFLgame in there? I m sure MS won't forget their key market.

It doesn't sound too likely. Preorders are obviously much higher in the US already. The Day One Edition has been sold out in several retailers already.

Football and soccer are big here, that's a false statement.
