Forums - Gaming - I may not like the Halo Franchise that much, but its music is amazing!

Hell yeah!

It's Celtic inspired music. Recently I came across a score from a Scottish music festival, Perthshire Amber from Dougie MacLean, and I was happily surprised with the similarities to the Halo music. Dougie MacLean has been a musician since the late 1970's and the particular scores he was playing were traditional Scottish music.

Well....it was pretty epic until it started making me want to river dance. I've heard better.

i honestly believe that the most important difference maker between a fun game and a lame game is the soundtrack and sound effects. when they get sound just right it is like the clank-clank-clank sound of winning a slot machine,.. you just crave more.

can't say i'm terribly familiar with halo but the bits i've seen has a great sound track and satisfying gun sound effects.
