Forums - General - Samsung shows off massive 98-inch Ultra HD TV

I think this TV is...

too small 45 32.37%

just right 52 37.41%

too big 40 28.78%

Total:137

I'd put in the rest of the article but i think that picture speaks for itself.  who the fuck could put one of those in their house?!?!  this is ridiculous now...

It's... Beautiful T-T

Nice...but its going to cost too much.

A TV like this is really meant for dedicated home theater rooms, and a 4000 dollar 4K projector should give a comparable picture quality in that kind of a setting. Just sayin...

It's too big, How do I put it in my living if it can't pass through the door!

bonus: a 4K projector doesn't require me to hire a contractor to knock down and rebuild any walls just to get the damn thing in my house...

i just bought a 46 inch TV maybe 6 months ago.  i have the money to go much bigger but my room just can't accommate it.  samsung (and probably sony and the rest) are going to find this to be a major money looser (imo) if they pursue this too much.  just so ridiculous...

Well that's just stupid... And the fact that its tilting up looks very annoying. I would imagine this thing brining down a wall if you try to mount it....

I'll buy one in 2030 when it's 100$ ^^

i'm actually impressed that you got it to outside your house.. I just own a car not a big truck.. even in a van it wouldn't fit.. :(

But to get the same visual quality you also need a high quality screen, not just a blank white wall. So $4000 isn't the total cost for getting the same quality picture from a projector. How much is a cinema quality 98" screen?
