@areason does have a point the vast majority of people do not buy a console for launch line-up games otherwise we would have 50 Million consoles buoght within the first year, to put it simply it would not be that smart for a console to blow its load with the launch line-up and instead just have a steady stream of games.
But you also have a point in how it does effect peoples descisions in wheather to get either or in the terms of choice. At the launch just make sure you pay for something that will satisfy you through out the generation instead of something that will satisfy your gaming needs for just the first couple of years, as i made that mistake this previous generation.

Well, of course line ups have both an impact and a limited one. Point is how strong is the impact per system and the variation is surprising from one system to the other.

And regarding his comment, unlike yours, it was an extreme generalization. 

He only listed box product exlusives for what ever reason. 

Also it matters with your personal preference towards certain types of games, like on console could have the best FPS and the othe the best RPG its all a matter of opinion and you personally view them no one can change that except you. But as far as these consoles go I will most likely get all of them atleast down the road when they are all a bit cheaper, Just go enjoy the games not the console cuz isnt that why were all here "to share our love of games" XD

Yeah I'm getting KZ Shadowfall (switched from BF4 after the MP trailer) at launch and downloading all the free to play games.

Killzone and Pirate Assassin are my day one PS4 retail games. The rest will just fill in naturally like watch dogs and knack.
