Forums - Gaming - IGN: Xbox One exclusive, Ryse, camera is atrocious (MP tested)

There was a reason why MS have been demoing X180 games on PC's. Now we know why? A lot of people are gonna be shocked when they realise those lovely BF4 and Titanfall Videos are all powerful PC versions and not the X180.  Funny how that story leaked of the poor PS4 version at gamescom but no mention of the X180 version? MS are keeping a tight lid on not showing actual X180 versions. This just confirms what a lot of people suspect? All smoke and mirrors

Some people need to remind me why xbox one have better launch lineup than ps4.... To me Ryse looks way worse than Killzone Shadow Fall, Forza 5 and DriveClub more or less the same, and then Knack just looks as simple and fun as Dead Rising 3....just different styles.

I have so little respect for Crytek as a company, they seem to care only about graphics in their games while gameplay suffers. It's not really surprising from them.

I agree, they are arrogant and Crysis 2 and 3 were subpar at best.  Crysis 1 was great though.

It is a Xbox One Exclusive, so many people (mostly gafers) will hate it and make fun of it for any given reason.

The game does look beautful, the light, the shadows, the animation (when not gliching), they are all nextgen-like.

It just piss me off how gamers are prejudiced with games and developers, for better or worst. People assumed tLoU would be a GOTY the first time the game was anounced, and for months when ND never showed any real game play. Hell, the not-so-special MP was shown weeks before the release.

Ryse could be a disaster, but why so much neat-peaking for any aspect of the game?

It's sad the no win situation for Cryteck. If they not show the game people will assume the game is bad and broken. If they show a alfa-beta gameplay people will point out any glitch and performance issue.

It's sad.

?? Halo, Gears. Forza always get major hype and great reviews... It being an MS exclusive has ZERO to do with it, if anything that means it will get more attention then it deserves, as it surely does not look like a good arguemnt for MS so called Strong launch games.

KZ MP was already shown 3 months before it was released (Great reviews so far), that is normal practice.

The "atrocious" part was just the camera according to them. But that is weird because of all the videos I have seen, there are a lot of graphical glitches and clipping issues, but the camera has seemed fine. In fact it has seemed quite good for this type of game.

I'm not worried about how the co-op will play, I am more interested in the SP. But the complaints are just bizarre to me. The gameplay is repetitive. Duh, it's a horde mode. The combat is repetitive. Duh, you're playing a horde mode in an action game. The kills make me uncomfortable. Wtf? That would be like giving impressions of Forza and saying "I wish you could do more than drive a car".

First time I have heard someone complain about sluggish controls though. Will keep an eye on that one.

To be fair, this is only multiplayer, which admittedly does look uninspired and repetitive based on the footage. But maybe multiplayer was tacked on, like it is with so many games nowadays.

Although I've been wary of the game since its formal introduction at E3. It just seems a little "on-rails," and heavy on quick-time events. Maybe those are side-effects of its Kinect origins, I dunno.

Hopefully the single player is better and this is just some multiplayer bugs that will get patched up.
