Forums - Nintendo - If Rayman legends would have stayed a Wii U exclusive, would it have helped the Wii U as much as Pikmin 3 did?

Yes it would've added 15k to WiiU's Hardware !

I think it would have helped as much if not more, Rayman Origins sold more copies than Pikmin 2 so it has more fans.  But you also have to look at if the game is a system seller and the review scores are really high so I think it could have been.

Rayman after 2 years has at most 700k on a single platform.Pikmin after 3 or 4 weeks is at 400k. I am not sure what brings you to that conclussion but its beyond laughable how hard you try. Why dont we wait and see what happens when one has been out as long as the other? Yeah that wouldnt help your agenda much would it

Not even close. Rayman Legends wouldn't have had any notable positive impact on Wii U hardware sales, because it's the sequel to a bargain bin game. Nobody buys an expensive console to play one bargain bin game.

Rayman is not bigger than Pikmin and he certainly isn't bigger than Sonic. You spend too much time on this forum, spurgeonryan. What is said around here often doesn't paint an accurate picture of how things are in the real world. Only on the internet can Rayman be the best platformer, but it's actually a third class title. If we want to be generous, it's barely edging into second class platformer territory.

According to the scores it's better than the last two Super Mario Bros. and probably better than any Sonic game in the last 20 years.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey
