Everyone says it's going to confuse parents. I don't know if you guys know this, but you don't become handicapped when you become a father or mother....

You'll be surprised. Only in America.

I had a DS for a bit and also a PSP I got from a friend but I just cant play portables for very long without my neck starting to hurt. The only reason I can on Wii U is because I can switch between the TV or the game pad depending on how and where I am sitting.

I really wish they didn't bother me so much as I enjoyed gaming on both platforms

It's quite possibly the worst gaming device i have ever seen, why did nintendo do this?

I wish Nintendo released a 3DS that could double as a game pad. Even allow me to put the games on the TV. I would probably buy one then

This could be a hit, alot of media websites got their hand on the handheld and their loving it so far, even though their award this is aim for young kids and casuals.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

Since I already own an XL, no it doesn't interest me. I'm not the target demographic either, so I won't waste my time telling Nintendo how to run their business.

No I have two 3DS regular models (one of them is the Fire Emblem LE that I bought mostly as a collectible) and an XL already so I think I've pretty much spent my fair share on 3DS hardware this gen. Plus it's hard going back to the smaller screen size after getting used to the XL.

2DS is decent for kids and parents who refuse to spend more than a certain amount on Christmas gifts, I have no problem with it. If releasing a tablet-less Wii U model would cause the userbase to ultimately grow faster, I think Nintendo should consider that option also.

I might pick up a 2DS years down the line if it's on clearance for $99 or less just as a collectible, but that's about it.

This sums up my feelings. I'll be going for a 3DS XL soon (hoping for a Zelda version), but maybe I'll pick up a 2DS for collecting purposes later.

i have a 3ds

Yes. I'd be willing to bet that playing games that I primarily use the D-pad for would be infinitely better on this than the standard 3DS.

However, the 3DSXL rectifies this problem as well and also includes my most wanted feature - bigger screens - so I'll definitely be buying that next.

But eventually, once there's a color scheme I really like, I'll pick up a 2DS. I actually like the unique design and even if I don't end up playing it much (the monaural sound is one thing that's inexcusable), I'll have it for collection purposes. I still regret never buying a GBA Micro back in the day...
