Yes, NintendoLand, New Super Mario Bros U, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros U...

And Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.

Ah you're right. Also Wii Party U....they're actually a lot.

Yeah got the wiiU already. We will be playing Rayman legends next (not splitscreen though I think), and Mario Kart is a no brainer.
A splitscreen RPG would be great though. A lot cheaper then running multiple desktops side by side each with a subscription to WoW.

Good point. Too bad we won't likely see any 3rd party rpgs on it.

I used to game with my brother and friends in a 21-inch screen, four players. Why have we let them take that away from us.

I tried to buy a game for the PS3 with local multiplayer, and didn't find anything interesting. Not bashing online, playing with 16, or 32 people is awesome, but split screen, is even more awesome.

lego marvel, disney infinity, skylanders swap-force

Lego marvel superherous looks very interesting. It only supports 2 players though, but 1 can play on the WiiU gamepad while the other uses the tv. I guess it will also support the traditional lego style dynamic split screen, just still limited to 2 players unfortunately.

Disney infinity and Skylanders, no thanks. I have enough trouble keeping track of the controllers with toddlers around. Toy figures are not a good idea.

I was hoping Killzone would have splitscreen. =/ I don't get why they're not putting it in? Resistance has it, there's really no excuse.

I'll agree to an extent, the first time I played Halo on lan, and then online split screen, it was awesome. But, 80% of the fun from playing split screen, is being able to look at the other players in the face. An insult, or yelling, well any interaction it's not the same. Yes, you can team up, and beat others, but, beating other people behind a screen, sometimes it feels just like an improved AI, nothing more.

This is almost exactly how I feel. It's too detached and impersonal.

If it's even sure, 2 players locally against 2 players locally somewhere else. Great fun with the mic open. If it's just you while there's a party going on on the other end, not so good. 8 players is about the max I would go to, splitscreen resistance 2 8 player co-op was still fun, yet the more people the less invested I get. All local is still the best. 16 or 32 player battles give you more opportunity to score but it's all very impersonal, might as well play against AI.

You don't have real friends to play with anyways. What's the problem?
