Am I the only one who hates horde mode? Found it dull in gears when I had a 360, have no interest in it.

You make a lot of good points, but it doesn't change my mind. Plenty of ways it could work. I'm not sure how Gears of War does it, but I was more thinking along the longs of Zombie Mode in Black Ops. Naughty Dog would be able to do it way better. Have the first few rounds with really weak runners, then have progressively stronger runners, then have stalkers and what not. There's a lot of different ways they could do it. Maybe they would have to get rid of limited ammo, or they could keep it in and have bonus rounds with humans and restock. Maybe have some sort of chest to store more ammo, that you'd pick up. |
Yeah, for your vision to work they would have to up the ammo in the game. If they don't have larger ammo, the ammount of gamers per map should be capped at eight. It would be so cool if like COD you could create a panic room and rack up money to upgrade weapons and fund buying planks and artillery by killing zombies as the pile up trying to get into your safehouse. Gears is already doing something like that for the upgraded horse mode in Gears 3, but it would serve the Last of Us better.
Instead of a horde mode, what about an infected mode like that in CoD? One guy starts out as an infected and everyone else is human. If the infected kills a human, the human spawns as an infected. The match ends when all humans become infected. I think something like this would be great.
Or maybe another mode where one person becomes a suped up Bloater, and everyone else has to kill him. The Bloater gets massive amounts of health and OHKOs with melee while everyone else gets regular guns and stuff.

If ND didnt listen, UC2 MP woud have still been playable after 1.05 and Plunder modes in both games would actually be worth a damn
So Interrogation mode is ok. Results in a lot of draws it seems. The element of the safe is nice, rewards defense. I finished the last round I played with 13 defensive downs. I went 85 Bears on our safe.Had one round on University that was over extremely quick. We spawned on low spawn and 3 enemies tried to sneak down the far right hallway. I somehow downed all 3 with one bomb and bam we had 3 interrogations right there.
It turns out the "stoppable special executions" is just a way for you to deny and enemy from finishing a special execution and getting bonus points. Once they start the execution animation, your teammate still dies. And the other melee animations are still a lock even if you kill/down the enemy before they actually hit you. Meh.
Winning team definitely seems penalized more with supply boxes. I had a span earlier tonight where I checked 4 boxes and literally got 1 thing out of each of the 4. Have never seen that.
