I was talking about market positon. I see the PS4 winning the US and WW easily and being the lone dominant console ala PS1. I see the Wii-U falling to the bottom and getting very little attention. The Xbone is going to be the middle man, but FAR behind the PS4.

Basicaly, it's the PS2,Xbox and Gamecube all over again only with the PS4 mirroring the PS1 in dominance. We'll never see ANY home console dominate like the PS2 again.

Well sure. I was being safe/conservative. I said awhile back that bare MINIMUM it breaks 5 million before the end of the year, but this this bundle and and the $50 price drop that I've been saying for months they needed to pull the trigger on to still viably "compete" this holiday with the other two consoles, I think 6 million+, sure perhaps even 7 as you say, is doable. Still a far cry from my original predicition of 10m by the end of 2013, but that was also not forseeing the drought and so many game delays. Nintendo really could have had a massive wave of momentum with a full year ahead of the competition, but, we already know they kind of fucked that away, even if they certainly didn't mean to. It happened, and it's their fault.

But I still have faith they can turn it around, and the price drop certainly gives confidence in that, that they're serious. I know they didn't want to drop the price, and I know it's because they'll be losing more money with each console sold for awhile, like they did with 3DS. BUT, as with 3DS, I think it will spur steady enough sales that they will start making money next year, especially with big hitters like MK8, Smash Bros. and Zelda, etc.

They have the best chipset of the three and the most reasonably priced one since both Nintendo and MS got hung up on including expensive control devices in their boxes.

They are a full $100 cheaper than MS. Their system is easy to develop for. Third parties reportedly love it, so it will get a ton of devleoper support and perhaps have the best multi-plats.

Sony's embraced indie gaming as well and is even scooping up some of the more promising ones as exclusive. Their 1st/2nd party studios have gotten stronger over the years.

Nintendo doesn't have a Wiimote type craze to disrupt this console cycle either, and Sony isn't anchored to a $599.99 price point this time around either. Stripped of casuals, it looks like Nintendo is headed back to GameCube (worst case) or N64 (better case) levels. Which leaves MS.

Their launch lineup is a tad weak I think, but will be offset quickly by having so much developer support. Is there any way the PS4 doesn't win this gen worldwide? I mean sure, MS will probably give them all they can handle in the US, but globally ... looks like they have this gen on cruise control.

was this in question?  more people hate microsoft more than sony.    look at the consoles. microsoft name is not on the xbox one. sony name is more visible than ps4. japan is a dunghole.  so they wouldve lost anyway. that price difference is the biggest factor of all.

Its all about the games.
No matter what everyone says about extra features and all that jazz it is all about the games.
Its something which only time can tell, can SONY come up with compelling enough software to definitively win the generation? I dont think so.

Whats wrong with it?

What isn't? No third party support, outdated architecture, and online infrastructure, over priced gamepad that most developers will never utlilize..The sales speak for themselves.

Prayformojo didn't expose his bias? Me bias? Nope, Playstation has been on a down swing since ps2, where as Xbox is on the rise.
