I don't understand. How come there aren't an ouya fanboys defending this paperweight?

Too busy playing Super Mario on their OUYAs.

Does not compute. Are you saying they actually exist?

I predicted this to be a scam back before it was released and reviewed. People laughed at me and pointed to various sources indicating OUYA would be released.

I think they missed the point because a "scam" is a nuanced concept. If it did ship, I knew it would be a huge disappointment. There was no way this thing could actually deliver and it should act as a warning against kickstarting new or overly ambitious tech projects.

See the Eyez scam for a reference.

the gaming industry needs ouya, it needs a console that will make the Vita and WiiU look successful when compared to it.

Interesting article. Atleast the ouya made good on it's promise. Peoples expectations were just absurd in general. From the moment I saw it, it seemed like a shitty console to play mobile games on.

True, even the wii u looks next gen spec wise compared to the ouya. Vita is just there clinging to life really.

If every Android game had a controller profile, I would've already bought this console and it probably would be doing a lot better right now. Since they don't, it was a failure from the beginning. Price is just fine, the main problem are the lack of more interesting games that use the controllers, and the overall low-quality of the promoted indie games made for the Ouya.

Well look at the bright side. You saved $100 and can use it to buy games or put it towards one of the next gen systems.

Saw this from a mile off, the thing never had a future and the whole idea was crap. A product jammed in between markets that are already crossover markets is bound to fail.
