i do think there is a problem here as the Xbox devision doesn't seem to make money.. Nintendo and Sony (prior PS3) have made billions in profit so Ms are doing something wrong here.

Pachter makes a good point if u think about it.
The difference between Nintendo vs. Sony/MS is that Sony/MS make a whole bunch of money (The MAJORITY of their money) from 3rd party games. This makes creating hardware very worth it for them.

On the other hand, Nintendo makes the great majority of their money from 1st party games, since 3rd party games don't sell much (if they come out on a ninty platform at all) on Nintendo hardware. Nintendo could just release their games on Sony/MS's platforms, as well as on mobile and others, which would not only result in much higher sales, but would cut out a massive amt of spending/losses by eliminating the need for hardware R&D/resources/etc.

I like Pachter. He's not always right, and makes some bad predictions occasionally, but he's no idiot. Ppl love to hate for the sake of hating and hearing themselves talk.

Video Creator does bring up an ongoing rumor tho in that MS has been rumored to be nearing an exit from the console industry. Idt this is true, tho.
