This part I also find particularly interesting.  Sounds like MSFT has told developers to only use Kinect when it makes sense and in non gimmicky way.

Now it’s in the box, use it where it make sense, don’t where it doesn’t. It can be used in some really – not gimmicky ways, which is what I think you’ll see a fair amount of – but ways that actually really enhance the game

This could very well be the reason we do not see such hype or large focus on Kinect but support.  I know Kinect sports was never on my list but looking at that rare video make sense for Kinect and it seems that Rare isnt trying to force Kinect to do everything but instead finding things it does best and using it.

I can really see a viva pinata game where your kid (or even the big kids like yourself) can scan in your toy and now its in the game for you to play with.  I know I would scan in my GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip if I had the chance.

Good there is no reason all of those series have been dormant for so long qnd would round out amicrosofts exclusive library

I really want to get excited for this, but it just feels like a lot of empty promises. I don't think those classic IPs are really a priority for Microsoft and Rare, no matter what Woodroffe said.

Just look at Killer Instinct, a download-only, free-to-play game developed by Double Helix Games, not Rare. I don't think that's a good sign of things to come.

??????????

Killer Instinct is nott as you say.

Killer Instinct is a full 54.99 Gbp game on disc at retail on launch day. It  is also available download. But there is a free option where you get 1 character.  You  can purchase the extra caracters etc if you wis 1 at a time.

But you can buy it a 1 whole game if you wish at retail on disc.

And the game looks amazing.

First time I have seen the Chief Thundar and the changes made to the game like the frame rate data.  It sure looks like Rare wants Killer Instint to see tournament play.  Also the combo changes where you have to cash in on those long combos will be good for advance play.  Game looking good and fun which puts it back on my list.

Glad to see most people are really looking forward to this news other than a few who couldnt help them selves but be a little bit negative.

Why Is there no "Do them all" option?

I'd rather have their golden IPs rest in piece than being turned into some kinectified zombies. Even without Kinect they no longer have the right people for the job, regardless if their current employees are talented.

I would prefer new IPs from these guys.
