price cut or good bundles(wiiU+MK8 for 300$ for instance).
get some prejudice for a while, but put their systems at all homes.
than, if everybody have a wii U they will buy the games, and they profit.
long term thinking.

But in a long long term thinking to profit and go back to 'hardcores'
They should invest in more mature games, maybe developing, maybe getting other studios...

I just want new games. Is that so much to ask? Something new and fresh like Pikmin was on the GameCube.

W101 just launched yesterday...

Moneyhatting for Nintendo just doesn't work. Collaborations don't work. We're seeing it just now as i'm typing this.

They collaborate with NamcoBandai on SSBU. A huge project. One would think it improves relationships and NamcoBandai will bring their franchises to WiiU? NO! Where is Dark Souls 2? Where is Soul Calibur? Where is Ridge Racer? Where is the next Tales game? Where is the next Gundam? Not on WiiU, thats for sure.

They moneyhat Capcom for MH main series exclusivity. You'd think that constitute an improved relationship? NO! Where is Ultra SF4? The new Strider game? With all their other franchises the message is the same from Capcom: "We have no plans to bring this and that to WiiU".

They moneyhat SE for Dragon Quest main series exclusivity. You'd think that constitute to SE bringing their other franchises? NO! Where is Final Fantasy 15? Kingdom Hearts 3? Tomb Raider? They give us effin' mmo Dragon Quest. I dont give a flying F for mmo dragon quest while i'd kill for a traditional DQ ala DQ 7 and 8.

The same goes for Sega, Konami, and TecmoKoei. In Sega's case they have Sonic exclusivity. Does that bring Virtua Fighter, Yakusa, Phantasy Star Online 2 or any other franchise to WiiU? No.

These companies just cant be depended on AT ALL.

Therefore, number one and two alongside improved marketing would be the way to go.

To be fairr Namco hasn't annoucement any next gen projects yet. Also look at their annoucements for 3DS.

I believe they are almost done with the new Kyoto building which is being used to expand the company.

Also Retro needs to expand so they can work on 2 projects at once.

They should also buy Shin'en and let them expand a bit so they can make a game like F-Zero.

Continue collaborating with Platinum and let them develop Star Fox.

Also continue collaborating with people like Sega and Namco.

Of course increase advertising and cut the price to coincide with Mario Kart 8.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Probably at a wishing well if sales don't improve soon...

Seriously though, almost everything on the poll is a good idea to a certain degree, with probably the number one priority being good advertising.

The only wrong choices are abandoning or cutting off the WiiU prematurely. That would be beyond stupid.

They should definitely invest into some hardcore marketing. They could actually change the brand image without changing a thing. "The all new Wii U! The U stands for ULTRA!"

Not a bad idea actually. IMO they have missed the mark with the name. Not enough drastic change. Especially when the average joe got used with all the add-ons, like wii-fit board and so on. So, when you show em a tablet controller and say WiiU, doesn't sound like a whole new thing, rather than another addon.
