Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Fifa 14 coming with xbox one pre-order, will this win over Europe?

Sony's FIFA sponsorship ends on January 1, 2014 (1 January 2014).

You can bet Microsoft is willing to throw as much money as it possibly would take to capture FIFA, and you can bet Sony likewise will do almost everything it can to secure that sponsorship as well.

That said. It's possible that this is a precursor to what might be coming. Not to get the cart before the horse, but the inclusion of FIFA 14 may be a sign that Microsoft has already secured sponsorship with FIFA.

that makes no sense what so ever, like at all. The XboxOne/Fifa bundle is a deal between EA and Microsoft. The Sony champions league sponsorship is a deal between Sony and EUFA, the organization itself. The MS/EA deal literally has nothing to do with the uefa sponsorship. also FYI its PES who have the rights to the EUFA Chapmions League, so that makes your post even more ridiculous than it already is.

i did say they might have a deal with the uefa.... but i was just stating that a FIFA deal didn't include most of the european specific tourney.... but clearly PS has things locked up :p they just don't have the game extras.... now since you seem to be good at finding sponsorship/licencing deals.... do you have any idea until when the EA deal runs with FIFA????

2022.

UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) is not FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association).

FIFA's sponsorship with Sony ends in 2014.

I never said the Microsoft/EA deal had anything to do with UEFA.

Good move. No games for US. Once again video game companies ripping off North America. You Europeans always get games cheaper.

I think this deal is somewhat flawed as not everyone who going to buy X1 necessary wants FIFA 14. Why couldn't they just extend the deal with EA so they are given a choice of EA titles to choose from. Just having the choice between Fifa 14 and Battlefield 4 would give themselves a large potential buying base to attract.

Send them a message. Thats a good idea. It's still EA.

They wouldn't listen anyway. As If they actual listened to the online community they would have already brought the the price of X1 more in-line with PS4. I think it would also better to showcase one of their own published titles instead of increasing the sales of competitors rival software. While including something like Ryse wouldn’t have the same impact as Fifa would, it could give Ryse a lot more exposer. So increasing the potential sales of future Ryse sequels a lot.

I get your point but they are already giving a game away. They are not however selling xbox for $400. So the game is already a deal between MS and EA. Meaning, they could just work the deal for any EA game. Make  it a DL game and thus this pushes this game online and it can't be sold. So the person can just go home, put the code in and recieve the game of their choice. Also give a month of xbox live for free. I think this would be a awesome Marketing move. Get any game you want from EA. BOOM!

Send a post card to the top of EA and MS. They pay attention to this because it has your name and you are a real costumer. Be professional and sound reasonable. This is also the most effective way to talk to politicians, It makes a point because you took time out of your day to send a postcard.  Sounds stupid but it works. Look at the DRM Reversal. MS wants EUR.. bad, don't be so sure they won't listen. Send it to the top of the EUR. division. Make sure to put your address. They want your business and You could have friends sign below that agree with your letter.

P.S. they could  also add a few extra games to choose from.  Maybe not all EA games but a list to at least choose between. The code could just take you to a page where you choose the game of your choice. I'm sure it's already a DL copy. Just make it a universal code in which you only get one game but you have options on what that would be.

Honestly I have little interest in geting either a  X1 or PS4 console for a long time to come. I am just giving an outside opinion to what I think would be a better direction to take with this free game deal. Actually adding 6-12 months free of Xbox live with Fifa 14 could be a great deal to combat PS4. As that package would be worth the extra $100 for a lot of potenial consumers.
