LOL yeah they were talking about shadow of the beast in the confrence and i was like "huh?!" never heard of it. then when i saw it i was like "HOLY FUCKING SHIT BALL! I NEED THAT"!

Old... nah, just knowledgeable. I knew the name seemed familiar, I'd heard of this before.

For 1st party indie i was referring something like Journey, Rain, etc, but i don't know if they're considered indie or not

Ah, I see what you mean now.  Interesting point.  If you have an indie developer working on a first-party project, is it still considered indie?  I don't know.  I'm curious to see which of these have been published or funded by Sony or if Sony owns any of the IPs.  I'm sure some will be timed exclusives (relative to consoles).

If you watch the thing again, you'd note how the presenter carefully mentions either "Only on Playstation xy" or "You see it on Playstation xy first". Obviously some are exclusives, some are timed exclusives. Timed exclusives are no brainers, as indies are only now being courted by MS. I doubt Sony spent any sizable money on ANY third party games, they just don't have the money to throw around, not even a fraction of what MS is throwing around.

And let's not forget: For every indie game Sony thought presentable for Gamescom, there are probably 2-5 "me-too" indie games (and 5-10 "fart" indie games) coming...
