I just have basic cable, so it should be simple right?

First, to find the channels  I have to have the TV find and reprogram itself.  Doesn't sound bad, right, just 20-30 minutes of no TV?  Well, it also deletes all my favorites.  I get reprogram them all back in, and there is many channels I can't use or not interested in.

It was Channel 7 was, 7 for the SD and 7.1 for the HD right?  Nope, now it's some 600 number something.  And they aren't even in order?  The NBC Chanel 4 might be higher at 838 than the WP Chanel 7 at 758.  It make no since at all.

Plus, I keep a nice list for all my guest so they can easily find things.  Hey, our local ABC is this channel, 2nd one is, etc.  It's very helpful and makes things easy. Nope, not any more, now I have to redo it, again.

Every so often the delete or move a channel and you have to find or fix it.  But today is a whole new mess.

Anyone else get bugged by this? Or other kinds of 'customer service' you would rather do with out?

I agree, why do they need to move them around? What a pain in the ass.

Yes, I used to have Comcast and they seemed better about it.  More like once a year at most.  But then my TV was easier to add chanels to back then.

I actually switch from Comcast to another company without moving.  It was a buyout deal.  And now they have lost a few major channels, like CBS.  I can't even stream it.
