So was your prediction correct? Did it own?

Depends...

In graphcis... yeah... DriveClub changed from water to wine and at GamesCom it showed finally showed next-gen graphics never showed by any other racing game yet... it is ahead any other racing game showed in terms of environment, depth and lighting.

The cars looks better on Forza 5 BTW.

Feature wise it showed some good and unexpected news... it is different and innovative.

Overall I will say it was the most surprising racing game at GamesCom... most because the the E3 build was really bad and now the game is in another league.

Just looks at the big sites... every one said good things about it.

PS. We need to wait the GamesCom The Best Of The Show to look the Racing category... for now I give you just my opinion.

I posted the video before watch it... OMG the sunset.

From Facebook commnts.

Q: I love the racing games, another game of this new gen is possible to play against the AI of the friends (forza 5). I will buy the ps4, but that feature is amazing. have you thinking about adding something similar? thx
A: We haven't revealed anything like that....yet. But playing with your friends even when they're not there is a very big part of DRIVECLUB! ;)

Q: To be fair what's lacking for me is any sense of speed. Will this be addressed?
A: Yes, the visual effects will improve day by day all the way up to November :)

Q: Looks great! Just stick to the 30fps, add some AA and fix those pop-ins. :)
A: This is footage of the game at alpha. It will look better and smoother by November :)

Q: Despite it being in alpha stages, after the research I've done and footage etc I've seen their is nothing that strikes me as really unique or gives it an identity - I think it will likely be an overall solid experience but for the most part it's all been done before (racing/gameplay wise) and it's nothing I'm excited about but just something I'll play when I'm bored to pass time in brief intervals. But if it's free on PS+ then why not.
A: You've only seen a glimpse of what's going in DRIVECLUB so far - and only in time trial events too. There's much more to see, outside of the driving and the racing! The clubs and challenges and playing with friends is what makes DRIVECLUB truly special. :)

Removing the experience and level up is not a good move that added to the replay value of GT5 even though it was way too easy to reach the max level in A spec mode (still haven't reach the max level in B spec its to boring and time consuming but I'm close almost level 38).

GT games never had that... it just break the imersion... a good move from PD because all the fas are requesting to remove them.

I expect that the licences gets more important in GT6 than in GT5... in GT5 they are useless.

Most people hate the licences in GT game I'm sure they will remain optional (no need to do them) like they did in GT5.

Both games look good I already know that the Prague circuit will be one of my favorite new tracks in FM5.

I don't like Prague layout at all... I'm glad they confirmed SPA

I want a new Nurburgring with accurate sizes that time.

Even if you don't like the layout it will be a beautiful looking track.  They also need to add at least one track from the southern hemisphere two would be even better.
