Forums - Nintendo - After two weeks, Wii U has finally come back to my Walmart!

Took them two weeks to get a shipment of 5 wiiU's. 2 have sold so far.Only deluxe models.

This exact situation has happened at the Best Buy I work at... like 3 times!! Once we sell out of the 4 or 5 units we get it takes forever to get more. I guess they learned from what happened with the basic model lol. My store probably had 20+ basic models sitting in a pile in the back since launch and they still kept sending us more! By the time they recalled them we had nearly 35 basic models lol

What your saying is Nintendo pissed off retailers due to nearly no demand for the basic model so now they are all ordering essentially only when stock is depleted causing week(s) without any on shelves at a time. Then they come in and sell relatively constantly until their out for a couple more weeks.

No wonder uptick is so slow. Better get that ish fixed soon, holidays are almost here and console has content now.

I would imagine the whole supply chain has been slowed way down.

huh. wonder if my local Walmart got any in. The other day they had even removed the priced spots and filled in with Wii. Damn, I was there yesterday but I didn't swing by that dept.

EDIT: according to website, my local store has them now too. Guess it was just a clearing of stock or something.

It happened in two near the time Pikmin 3 came out. So I have to believe that it helped, even if it was to finally get some new shipments flowing for Nintendo. Not much, but a start.

Walmart must not bee too mad, since the Wii U still has it's whole shelf space. I am not going to mention the other system that has lost 75 percent of it's space, but it has been out longer.

does it start with a "V" :P

Hey at least things are looking up

Well, to keep optimism and ignoring it took two weeks to restock, selling half the stock in less then a day (assuming it came today) isn't bad .

I believe that it came Friday.

Bah! That dampens my optimism .
