They don't really have any ‘big’ IPs :/ The only thing that I could see making much of a splash is a Metal Gear Rising sequel only for the Xbone, but even then I doubt it would be worth the money for MS to buy it’s exclusivity from Konami. The original sold about half a million on the PS3 in japan, so a sequel, on a unpopular brand with no install base isn't going to sell much at all...

It's very likely they could be using Platinum for a different company's IP.  Like the MGR isn't theirs.  

That's a really good point actually, but I wonder what it could be? Locking it in for only japan seems like an odd decision, unless they are pretty sure it won't sell in the west.

It looks unlikely. It only sold well at Japan, so a One exclusivity would probably make it flop real hard.

I don't think so because Geoff is a GAF user that uses the CBOAT leaks sometimes... CBOAT seems more "insider" than just a journalist or seems to have some high execs insiders.

For over weeks even. The "Some news will break overnight" could just mean that news of games and features will be released to the public overnight.
