Forums - Sony - Just saw the 35 minute trailer for beyond two souls and...

Holy fuck this game looks simply incredible.

To be honest, it's shaping up to be this gen's graphics king. The story is compelling and like TLOU you actually care for the characters, fuck I WATCHED a 35 minute gameplay video of it and I cared for the main character as well as the street bums. The animations are flat out scary, they're so realistic, the best I've seen in a game. The voice acting is also the best i've seen in a game.

The only thing it's lacking in is in gameplay, but then again that was purposely since it's meant to be an interactive film of sorts. However at any rate I just pre-ordered the game and am anxiously awaiting it's release. What do you guys think about it? Also, why is this game never mentioned here on this forum, you guys are sleeping on this to be honest.

Around the Network

gameplay is way too assisted/automated. I know it's done to drive the story, but this is overkill and borderline interactive movie.

I've seen very polarizing previews of the game. It matters absolutely not to me because I'm still buying it and playing it but I hope gameplay isn't a problem.

I'm looking forward to the game, but I'm debating on whether to cancel my preorder so I can pay for GTAV, ps4 and the 4 games I preordered for it.

Looks like a great game, but I may end up getting it closer to christmas instead. Who knows maybe I'll find a job by the time it comes out so I can keep my preorder.

Just saw the gameplay breakdown video, it actually turns out that the game isn't centered around QTE's and instead directional based, well they got rid of the QTE's.

So my hype level for this game most definitely just increased.

Around the Network

I have no interest in the game, but if I had, I certainly wouldn't care about the gameplay. It's an interactive movie after all. Strangely enough, gameplay matters little in this kind of "games".

Why is interactive movie a bad thing?  Adding interactivity to movies adds some great opportunities for unique storytelling.

Because I paid $70 for it. I can't justify that cost when all it requires me to do is push a button to turn the page.

The gameplay looks terrible frankly, like its on autopilot with nowhere near enough player involvement.
Reminds me of Heavy Rain, which I despised.
Definitely not for me.
