the xperia code names honamoi, or something like that, its basically the same as the xperia z shape wise, except it has major componet upgrades, quad core 2.2 and it uses the new snapdragon 800 chip which is way better than the galaxy s4

it has 4k video recording, first on a mobile device with its 20.7 mp camera

it has a new tech display for the screen with better viewing angles, also the batery life has been improved, this is my next handset!

I wish Sony had designed the Vita to *be* an Xperia. Smartphone which will still be a useful console after it's contract has expired? Sign me up! Alas, they wanted thumbsticks which stick up and proprietary memory, which are both kinda deal-breakers for smartphones....

It's fair to push new smartphones even when the old model still has legs. The smartphone market is ridiculously competitive and you need to offer consumers all sorts of options and price points.
