Forums - Sony - FACE OFF - PS Vita vs PS3 - Digital Foundry take a detailed look...

Checkpoint framedrops. Proof that they are really using the Killzone 3 engine for Killzone Mercenary ;) I remember that KZ2 and KZ3 had those but that is nitpicking. KZ2 however had sometimes longer freezes but they were patched out.

There were some very good games on PSP. But the scale had to be greatly cut back, the number of enemies on screen at once on Ghost of Sparta was due to hardware limitations. Very impressive achievement for the hardware it was running on, there were also some very good later games from Big Big, Studio Cambridge etc.

Motorstorm Arctic Edge was for me, the first handheld game that actually felt like it hadn't been compromised in anyway by being on a handheld and was a fantastic game too, actually my favourite Motorstorm

Little Big Planet was another fantastic PSP game, though again there were clear compromises (only 2 layers to levels).

In terms of MotorStorm, I agree!! The Arctic setting is easily my favourite, and I'd like to see a remake with HD graphics and a couple of new tracks and vehicles on the Vita or PS4.

As for GOW: GOS, I liked it better than GOW II, the settings and set pieces are just incredible on a handheld, nothing on even the more powerful Vita or 3DS can match it. Its simply my favourite handheld game so far, and excites me about the possibilities with a God Of War on a Vita even more.

Hmm, that 4FPS moment in the video... what caused it?
