Turns out Mewthree isn’t a real Pokemon. Or, he is sort of, but not really. He’s not an actual evolution, but instead the “Mega Evolution” of your Mewtwo. Because just leveling up your Pokemons until they evolve isn’t good enough anymore, certain Pokemon will now have access to Mega Evolutions. Which is kind of a misnomer. They don’t actually evolve. They just get all super powerey for a bit, and then revert back.

So, really, more of Super Saiyan situation. Except… not really. At all. But I wanted to mention Dragonball Z so I could make a joke about how Mewthree resembles kind of sort of resembles Frieza again. Hilarious, right?

Not disappointed but I would like to know if they automatically go into Super Saiyan mode as soon as the battle begins or if it happens randomly.

Either way it is my most anticipated game this year.

OT: It was obvious in the beginning, also its better this way cuz if not every pokemon would be overpowered with the Evolite Item! (boost 50% def + Sp def if a pokemon can still evolve)

How was it obvious in the beginning?  They should never have called them Mega Evolutions if they are not actually evolutions, that's just gonna cause confusion.

your right about the name part,it will confuse 90% of pokemon fans, i predicted for the longest that pokemon will have alternate forms for several months now and when i saw blaziken+ Ampharos it was clear it was a form, not an evo. Most evolutions change appearance but in this case has extra features and designs but overall pratically the same body structure. Maybe to me and a few it was obvious, but at the same time it does have Evolution in its name, only bad mistake i see so far in X/Y! Im surprised you just found this out, its been clearly stated that its a form since the scans came out last thursday!!! :0

When you put it like that it does make sense with the body forms remaining the same, guess I never really thought that much into it and I doubt the majority of the fans will.  They should have called them Mega Forms though.
