Yeah, PS3 is kind of already like that not all titles but a good amount are day one digital. 


The vast majority of the 360's library of physical games are also available digitally.  There not available day one but it usually only takes a couple of month before they show up on games on demand.

PS3 has been doing this day 1 for all AAA titles for at least 1.5 years I am pretty sure.
