This is going too far. Everytime I see you're not understanding my points I try to build a bridge (between my logic and yours) that you can walk in and see what I'm really talking about...but you simply move away to a farther position. I can't keep on going after you.
Just tell me what do you think it's wrong in what I said or disconnected to the topic and I will answer.
Maybe this will help us to get to the point:
1 - You said "Nintendo invests their money into games and employees" - I said: Profit = Revenue - Cost ; Cost = investment on games and consoles + other things
2 - Since Sony went to the home consoles business, they sold many more games and consoles than Nintendo --> Sony revenue > Nintendo revenue
3 - Since Sony went to the home consoles business until now (from 1995 to 2013) they've spent more than what they've earned --> Sony profit < 0
4 - In the same time period, Nintendo has profited a lot --> Nintendo profit >> 0 ...and profit, my friend, is money you don't ever see again into games and consoles, it went already to Nintendo shareholders.
5 - On the other hand, from point 3 I can say all the money Sony has earned is into games and consoles...it's here in the industry for us, gamers. Maybe you think it's a waste, once you've said "Everyone else wastes their money.". But then you just don't like games. I can't take any other conclusion from your words.
6 - Then you said "You forget, Nintendo see's themselves as a toy company." - Well, I don't forget that and I replied talking about Sony's GAME DIVISION and Microsoft's GAME DIVISION through the points 1 to 5, it's all there in my last post.
7 - Finally you said "Gotta keep people happy and interested. That's what they're working on." - And now the conclusion is very clear: gotta squeeze people's money, that's what they have been working on. They only spend the enough to get a sale. Then, when they already have your money, it's only a small part that goes to games and consoles again. The rest goes to the shareholders. And that's a fact. It's simple maths: Profit = Revenue + Cost --> Nintendo: high profit (high revenue, low cost) --> just a small part of what you give to them goes to games and consoles again ; Sony: negative profit (high revenue, higher cost) --> all the money gamers spend and some more goes to games and consoles again.
I can't explain it simpler than this. Now I will wait for you to tell me what do you think it's wrong in this reasoning.
I won't reply to the rest of your post because that has nothing to do with our discussion. You didn't really replied to my last paragraph and even ignored the other ones. Maybe when you start answering to these topics we can move on to other ones too.
