Well... even though this prediction thread is pretty lolz, I can safely say at the very least, Nintendo is worth more than Sony (1/8/2014)... So at least that happened and we will see how the future holds... Maybe the wiiU will sell like crazy in China due to Nintendo's "universally acceptable family friendly" games

Keep your hopes up man! Don't bow down to the system!

Anyway I agree... Who knows... China might end up being a larger market than we thought! Let's keep fighting the resistance movement!

On word with the resistance!!!

We don't have enough enough numbers in this thread so I'll give you some.

1.775 million

1.350 million

Do you know what those numbers are? Didn't think so.

They're Wii U and XBONE launch sales for their first Decembers. Do you know which one is which? Need a hint?

Wii U outsold XBONE by over 0.4 million in their first Decembers. That's right. The top number is for Wii U and the bottom number is for XBONE.

NINTENDOOMED!!!

Remember my predictions from way back when? China's opening up their doors, and Nintendo's first in line.

Don't buy Nintendo stock they said, Nintendoomed they said.

Microsoft is actually, they've been working with a company to build Xbox One there for ages and even have a name.

I wonder how the Chinese will take to a Japanese console ...

Pretty sure Nintendo beat them to it, and a long time ago at that, too.

How is that the same when they've just lifted the decade+ long ban?

Not exactly the same, but Nintendo have been making and selling their systems and games to the Chinese public for years now (only under the iQue name instead of 'Nintendo'); the recent lifting of that ban will only improve what they've got going already. It's only going to make it much easier, everything's been in place an functioning for Nintendo for a long while already. Whereas Microsoft doesn't have anything like that, at all. Unless I missed something and they've been selling Xboxes in China for years, but I don't think that's the case.

Because the Wii made everyone flock to WiiU didn't it? I think it's irreventl tbh. MS have strong ambitions for China and consumers will pick which console they like best.

Well, the 3DS & 3DS XL were both release on the same day in December 2012 in China.

I follow 3D news, and no one is seeing Gravity nor 47 Ronin in 2D. I think we can declare the 2D era coming to an end during the next 15 years.

And how well has 3DS sold in China?

Vgchartz has 3DS lifetime sales at 42.31m and North America+Europe+Japan make 39.72m of that so the entire rest of the world equels 2.59m. Thats South America+Africa+Australia+Asia, so being generous lets say China makes up 50% of rest of word sales, thats only 1.3m at best. Seems like China hasnt done shit for 3DS sales in the year its been released there.
